Angela Oakenfold

Originally cast in the role of "Maggie", Angela Oakenfold'’s jubilant nature made such an impression on the Director that it led to her being awarded the part of the more free spirited "Simone". Born in London'’s East End and growing up in nearby Essex, Angela always knew that she was destined to pursue a career in the performing arts. After college, the aspiring singer songwriter left England to go on world tour with a well known musician. This connection to the world of rock and roll eventually landed her a spot as the television host of the “Babes and Balearic” Dance show. However, the Shakespearian trained actress eventually longed for a more challenging way to express herself and decided to move to Los Angeles to continue her theatrical education. She went on to study the method technique at the Lee Strasberg Institute and did further training at the Howard Fine Theatre Institute. This dedication to perfecting her craft was proven when she won the role of Elvira in the Noel Coward play, “Blithe Spirit” which she performed last year at the Cabrillo Playhouse. Since coming to Los Angeles, Angela has appeared in several films and will be seen in the starring role of Gwen in the upcoming comedy “An Enterprising Caper”. She has also written a screenplay, “My Extraordinary Life” which she developed while attending writing classes at UCLA.
